Prevents wire fraying and conductor strand separation
Color-coded red for quick identification of 1.0mm² wire size
Halogen-free Polyamide 6.6 insulation rated up to +105°C and 600V
Where to use it
Bootlace terminals provide a clean and secure termination for stranded wires, preventing fraying and ensuring reliable insertion into terminal blocks or screw connectors. The nylon sleeve (PA66) adds insulation, chemical resistance, and durability. Designed to terminate flexible cables, they are ideal for general wiring in control panels, switchboards, solar systems, and automotive DC setups where wires are frequently handled or repositioned. The pack of 100 is ideal for larger jobs or keeping spares on hand.

A bootlace ferrule is crimped onto the end of a fine-stranded (flexible) wire so it can be clamped cleanly in a screw or spring terminal. It stops the strands fraying or splaying, gives a solid, low-resistance contact and makes the connection more reliable over time.
Match the ferrule to the cross-section of your wire in mm² (for example 1.5 mm², 2.5 mm² or 6 mm²) and pick a pin length that suits the depth of your terminal. The colour of the insulating sleeve helps you identify the size at a glance.
Use a dedicated bootlace ferrule crimper, which forms a square or hexagonal crimp around the pin. Pliers or standard terminal crimpers won't compress the pin properly and can give a loose connection.
Strip the wire to the pin length of the ferrule so the bare strands fill the metal tube and end flush with its tip, with the insulation pushed up into the nylon sleeve.
