Price is per pack of 100
Features
Supplied in a convenient pack of 100
Double grip barrel crimps the conductor and the wire insulation for strain relief
Colour-coded blue for quick identification of 1.5-2.5mm² wire
PVC insulated, rated to 600V and 27A
Fits an M10 stud (10.5 mm hole)
Where to use it
Insulated ring terminals give a secure, vibration-resistant connection to a stud or bolt, such as battery posts, busbars, earth points, fuse holders and switch terminals. The closed ring cannot slip off the stud if the nut loosens slightly, and the PVC sleeve insulates the crimp. Ideal for 12V and 24V wiring in 4WDs, caravans, RVs and off-grid systems. The pack of 100 is ideal for larger jobs or keeping spares on hand.

Choose by two things: the wire size and the stud or bolt it fits over. The colour tells you the wire range (red 0.5-1.5mm², blue 1.5-2.5mm², yellow 4-6mm²) and the stud size (for example 6mm) tells you which bolt the ring fits. Pick the stud size that matches your terminal post so the ring sits flat and tight.
A double grip terminal crimps onto both the bare conductor and the wire insulation. The second grip on the insulation gives strain relief, so vibration or movement is less likely to fatigue the strands at the crimp.
Use a ratchet crimper with colour-coded dies for pre-insulated terminals, such as the Alvolta Insulated Ratchet Crimping Tool. The ratchet only releases once a full crimp is made, giving a consistent, secure connection. Pliers can crush the insulation and leave a loose crimp.
Strip enough so the bare conductor fills the metal barrel up to the ring, with the wire insulation sitting inside the insulated sleeve. Too short and the crimp may not hold; too long and bare copper is left exposed.
